I am a California State Certified Mediator who has also been a significant and enduring presence in the Northern California social work community. A strong advocate of child welfare since the early 1970’s, I have conducted over one thousand mediations to date. I am known for my work in Child Custody, Visitation and Adoption. Highly skilled in the areas of psychological and social service issues, my principal drive is to be an effective agent of ethical practice with personal and professional integrity. I value reaching an agreement between the parties in an environment of enhanced communication with the goals of reducing anger and increasing understanding of the other parties points of view. I hold a Masters Degree in Psychology, and a State of California Certification in Mediation and Conflict Management. I am a member of the San Francisco Bar Association as well as the Association for Dispute Resolution of Northern California.

For the past 20 years I have been a regular presenter and trainer to a variety of professionals in many venues, including in Northern California, Wisconsin, New York, Boston, Romania and Ireland.

I maintain a private Mediation and Parent Coaching practice and have been working as a Family Mediator for the Superior Court of California, Napa County since 2007. I also conduct instructional presentations and orientations on Mediation and Napa County Family Court Services.

My work for the Superior Court of California involves providing emergency or “same day” mediation, child-custody and visitation mediation, juvenile dependency mediation and guardianship mediation.
