Beth
Miller is a Family Formation Specialist who has been a significant
and enduring presence in the Northern California adoption community.
A strong advocate of women’s health and child welfare since
the early 1970’s, Beth has been instrumental in hundreds of
successful adoptions. She is also known for her work in Birth Mother
advocacy as well as pre-and post adoption education and social work.
Skilled in the areas of psychological and social service issues,
her drive is to be an effective agent of ethical practice and higher
standards. She values openness in all aspects of Family Formation,
in the best interest of the child. Beth holds a Masters Degree in
Psychology, and a State of California Certification in Mediation
and Conflict Management.
For
the past 8 years Beth has been a regular presenter at the Northern
California Resolve Infertility and Adoption symposia, and has given
instructional presentations to a variety of health and social work
professionals in many venues, including New York, Boston, Romania
and Ireland.
Beth continues her mediation work as Family Mediator for the Superior
Court of California, Napa County.
Beth is currently the Consulting Clinical Supervisor for the Unaccompanied
Refugee Minor Program. This critically important Program places
into Bay Area homes Refugee youth orphaned/separated from their
parents by war and/or political/religious persecution. For more

Among
Beth’s personal interests are Animal Assisted Therapy, which
she performs with her dog Lily, and designing jewelry under the
name of Bellemirth Creations. Her finest personal accomplishment
is shared with her husband, Bob: the raising of their son Ethan
to adulthood.
